Founder & Inventor
Kevin J. Ferree
LIKEWISE was founded by Kevin J. Ferree, an electrical infrastructure professional and inventor focused on advancing new approaches to electrical system performance.
Through years of hands-on experience working with commercial and industrial electrical systems, Ferree observed a recurring challenge: modern buildings were placing increasing demands on electrical infrastructure that was never designed for today’s levels of electrification, power electronics, and distributed energy use.
While many solutions in the industry focused on adding more equipment, electronics, or control systems, Ferree began exploring a different approach—whether electrical infrastructure performance could be improved by optimizing the way electromagnetic energy flows through the electrical system itself.
This exploration led to the development of Rings of Balance, a passive electromagnetic architecture designed to improve power quality conditions and electrical infrastructure performance without requiring complex control systems or disruptive upgrades.
Today, Ferree leads a growing team of LIKEWISE engineers, system architecture professionals, and infrastructure specialists focused on advancing a new category of Passive Grid Infrastructure Optimization.
LIKEWISE is building the next generation of grid-edge electrical infrastructure optimization.
As electrification accelerates across buildings, transportation, and industry, existing electrical infrastructure is being pushed beyond its original design limits. Modern facilities now face increasing electrical demand driven by electrification, power electronics, EV charging, and digital infrastructure—often stressing systems that were originally designed decades ago.
LIKEWISE was founded to address this challenge by introducing a new category of technology focused on optimizing the performance of electrical systems already installed in the built environment.
Rather than replacing electrical infrastructure, LIKEWISE focuses on improving how electrical energy flows through the system itself.

Why This Matters
Electrical infrastructure is rapidly becoming one of the most important constraints facing modern buildings and cities.
As electrification expands—through EV charging, electric heating, data infrastructure, and new technologies—many buildings will require larger electrical services or costly upgrades simply to meet future demand.
LIKEWISE takes a different approach.
This approach can help property owners and infrastructure operators:
- Improve electrical system efficiency
- Reduce infrastructure loading
- Stabilize power quality conditions
- Recover usable electrical capacity
- Extend the useful life of existing electrical infrastructure
Our Focus
LIKEWISE technologies are designed for deployment across a wide range of infrastructure sectors including:
- Commercial buildings
- Industrial facilities
- Real estate portfolios
- EV charging infrastructure
- Data centers
- Utility distribution systems
